All contributions made through WinRed to Herzig for Congress are considered final and non-refundable, except in cases required by law or clearly resulting from error.

 

However, we understand that mistakes can happen. WinRed provides a process for refund requests under limited circumstances.

 

1. General Refund Policy

In compliance with Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations:

• All donations are final once processed.
• Refunds may only be issued for:
– Duplicate transactions
– Obvious processing errors
– Fraudulent or unauthorized charges
– Contributions that exceed federal limits
– Contributions prohibited under federal law (e.g., from corporations or foreign nationals)

Herzig for Congress reserves the right to review each refund request on a case-by-case basis.

 

2. How to Request a Refund

Since all contributions made through our website are processed by WinRed, refund requests must be submitted directly to WinRed:

When contacting WinRed, please include:
• Full name
• Email address used for donation
• Date and amount of the contribution
• Last four digits of the card used
• Screenshot or receipt of the charge (recommended)

3. Recurring Donations (Subscription Refunds)

If you accidentally enrolled in a recurring donation:

• You may cancel the subscription at any time through your email receipt or WinRed account.
• Refunds for recurring charges follow the same rules as above (duplicate or erroneous charges may be refunded; general cancellations do not guarantee refunds).

4. Campaign Rights Under Federal Law

The campaign may refuse, cancel, or refund any contribution that:
• Violates FEC regulations
• Exceeds lawful contribution limits
• Is made by a prohibited source
• Appears fraudulent or suspicious

If such a refund is required, it will be issued through WinRed.
